As part of our campaign to raise our pupils’ awareness of the conservation, preservation and protection of wildlife, the school has formed a link with the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation programme in the world and today, our Year 7 ac 8 pupils wore their wellies in order to raise money for the orphaned elephants.

As part of their work towards the Welsh Bacc, Year 13 students organised a very successful Christmas Fayre this week, with over £550 being raised for numerous charities.  Many thanks for all your efforts.

Congratulations to Dylan Jeynes and Danny Lewis, winners of this year’s festive chocolate hampers and many thanks to our PSA for donating the prizes.  Congratulations too to Lowri James – the lucky winner of the I-pad in our Christmas Card competition.

We were very pleased to welcome back some of our past students this week as they attended our annual awards ceremony.  We had the opportunity to present numerous awards and to thank all the students for their valued contributions to our school community.

Many congratulations to our Year 8 football team on securing a place in the last 8 in this year’s Welsh Cup.  261 schools have competed in this prestigious competition this year and this excellent result is a result of the boys’ commitment and talent on the field.  Well done boys!

Here are some of our pupils modelling their Christmas jumpers again this year.  All pupils have donated £1 each to the annual ‘Save the Children’ Christmas jumper Campaign.

Congratulations to our 1st XV rugby team on the their recent success against Treorchy Comprehensive School! This result means the team have progressed to the final 16 teams in the Welsh Cup. This season's campaign has already seen the boys score 322 points and concede 0! Da iawn fechgyn!
