I couldn't believe my luck when the letter came through the post informing me I had been chosen to watch the recent Ryder Cup. I had been chosen by RCT, along with a friend, to represent Rhondda Golf Club - what an honour! After an early 6am start, we caught the bus to The Celtic Manor Resort from Pontypridd. After arriving, and walking a mile to the first tee, we got our first glimpse of the European Team at the 7th hole. Even though the food was very expensive - £9.50 for fish and chips, and even though the resort was full to capacity, it was a very exciting and memorable day and I couldn't wait to return to the golf club for a bit of fine tuning of my own golf skills - Tiger Woods, eat your heart out!
