Team Triumph
After securing their place for the ninth year in succession in the Welsh Public Speaking competition, organised by the Rotary Club of Wales, the Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhondda team, consisting of Year 12 pupils James John Owen, Sarah Louise Jones and Year 9 pupil Daniel Davies, travelled to Crickhowell House in Cardiff Bay for this year's final.
Focus on Skills
Staff welcomed Year 7 parents to the school this week for our annual Skills Evening. This important event in our school calendar is an opportunity for parents to meet with members of staff and to learn more about the skills curriculum for Year 7 and Year 8 pupils.

Talented Cymer pupil Chloe Tutton's achievements in the pool have been nationally recognised. Following weeks of voting, Year 10 pupil Chloe was declared the under 16 Young Welsh Swimmer at the recent Swim Wales Recognition Awards ceremony 2010.
Public Speaking Success
