Geography is the study of the world and the people within it.
Our aim is to develop the knowledge and understanding of our pupils. We wish to further and enhance all pupils’ geographical skills, making them ready for the outside world. Geography is a very topical subject, which promotes an awareness of the world around us. Climate change and an over populated world, with resources becoming scarce is a subject which affects everyone. In Geography, pupils gain a better understanding of these relevant topics and the different ways in which to combat these issues. Our department consists of two teachers who are enthusiastic and committed to our subject.
Mrs Louise Maxwell-Lyte (also Sustainable Development and Eco-schools Co-ordinator)
Mrs Rhian Morgan
We are a strong, dedicated and vibrant department, which maintain a good relationship with pupils and parents. We aim to ensure that all students reach their full potential through direction, support and guidance. We believe that field work activities are essential opportunities in developing good relations with pupils whilst improving many different geographical and social skills.
